Our Mission
Founded by Nia Abdullah, Sydney West and Felicity Winter, Curious Cat Productions is a company dedicated to kickstarting the careers of actors, writers, directors and producers. As the landscape of the theatrical industry changes with the rising costs of productions and the decrease in traditional career pipelines, the mission is to provide underrepresented artists with resources to develop their craft through the incubation of both new work and interpretations of classics.
Our Team
Nia J. Abdullah
Nia J Abdullah (she/her) is a proud arts administrator, producer, and writer based in Manhattan. Her past professional credits include: Audio 2 (Plays in the Park) 2050 Administrative Fellow (New York Theatre Workshop) , General Management Intern (RCI Theatricals). Nia is currently the Individual giving associate and Board Liaison at Playwrights Horizons and was also a 2025 Perry Award nominee for best lighting of a play!
Felicity Winter
Felicity Winter (she/her) is a New York-based director, writer, and actor. Her plays Unidentified Female and You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone have been featured in the Chain Theatre's One Act Festivals. Past directing credits include Someone's Headache, My Heartache (Aduadious Owl Productions), form.docx.pdf(2) (Purple Light Productions), Hope Is The Thing With Feathers (Murmuration Theatre Co.), To Be Loved Is To Be Alive (Audacious Owl Productions), Constellations (Chatham Community Players), American Idiot, Into the Woods, and Heroes of the Fourth Turning (Cabaret Theatre). Sydney West
Sydney West (she/they) is a producer, and arts administrator across New York and New Jersey. She works in both theater and film, producing Crescent Strays featured in New Faces New Voices NYC 2026 Film Festival. She is currently in the A24 Information Technology Internship, with previous positions including Gotham Film and Media Institute Equity Internship and Cabaret Theater Executive Board Finance Director. Her past theatrical work includes: American Idiot, Into the Woods, and A New Brain (Cabaret Theatre, Stage Management).
